Pam hand-dyed the background fabric, painted, and embroidered the fabric for the boxes, and selected the wire works made by her husband Joe. The boxes, with functional lids are folding using traditional origami folds. The 3-D pieces are mounted on a quilted background and housed in a traditional picture frame.

The Buddhist notion of being detached from our egos has much wisdom. This was a spiritual exercise in thinking about keeping her own ego "in line".

Pam embroidered each letter, then painted and decorated them with jewels and yarns. The background quilt is made from organza that she machine quilted with words that she could focus on while working. She free-motion quilted "ego" all over the quilt. The "ego" letters were then suspended in line, witht he help from her husband, Joe.

Each small fabric piece has been individually digitized using machine embroidery software. Machine embroidery using rayon thread, fabric fusion, mounted on a red background. Materials used: silk, cotton, tulle, and other man-made fibers. The entire piece is mounted on a painted canvas.
