Forest Floor
The inspiration for this piece came from the artist and his love of trees and leaves. Gerald made each leaf from a piece of copper that was heated then hammered and worked to achieve the look of the leaf he envisioned. There are three dragonflies resting on the floor, with a copper frog looking for a drop of water (the frog was created by Jimmie Luckey). He then used different chemicals that oxidized the copper to the colors you see in the finish artwork.
Leslie Ravey and Jo Alcalde created the fantastic frame from lace wood. This piece is part of the Craftsman Redefined series.

Vanishing Reflection
This is the artist's interpretation of American Landscape. This is a collaboration between Jack and Paul Hamer, print-maker/painter. The painting and silkscreen focuses on the current landscape with a city skyline reflected in the eye of the bison coupled with a cool colors of technologically driven world. The silk veil repeats the theme of the primordial past through the digitized and machine-embroidered bison motif. This overlapping imagery suggests that the past is always visible - however faintly - in the future's reflection.
