has been carving since high school with a 20 year hiatus to raise two children. He started out carving working duck decoys. Being an avid outdoorsman, he has spent many hours observing songbirds which sparked his interest to recreate them in wood. Glen's carvings range in size from the smallest hummingbirds to large birds of prey with settings in their natural habitats.
His interest broadened to carving both freshwater fish and tropical fish when asked by a friend to create a taxidermy-like wall mount of a gulf trout. He has competed in several carving competitions in Texas and Louisiana and received a second place ribbon in the Ward Foundation World Carving Competition in Maryland.
