Andrea M. Patton nee Voykin started seriously drawing when she was 8 years old. She always loved to draw animals and wildlife (Flora & Fauna). Her passion for birds and wildlife stems from her nature walks as a child on the bluffs of Illinois and her time spent living and exploring Colorado, Texas, Canada and most recently, Alaska where her passion was reawakened and senses were overwhelmed by the vast beauty and grandeur of the last frontier. She took alcohol ink, watercolor and acrylic lessons from famed local artists Don Kolstad, Francine Dufour Jones and Jennifer Bowman while on her sojourn to Alaska and there she started painting daily and has not stopped since! The Alaska experience renewed and expanded her joy for painting and she began showing and selling in galleries in Alaska where her work became much sought after. Her artwork has been auctioned at United Way Events and the Anchorage Go Red for Women.
