Aspen Silk Habatoi was dyed for the background and then paint was added as the aspen trunks were attached. The trunks are strips of Silk Dupioni which have been tea-dyed and hand-painted. The piece was densely quilted using cotton, polyester, and rayon threads in varying colors and thicknesses.
